What is a common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

Completely agree. Ethical and quality concerns deserve more attention. Do wonder if teachers feel the same and worry the pressure to ‘just get things done’ might make these deeper problems easier to overlook. How do we bring these risks into a conversation often dominated by short-term survival?

Is there any difference between using a lesson planned by AI and one that is from a scheme of work? Teachers will always need to adapt planning, regardless of its source. The issue is having the time to do this properly, allowing teachers to be teachers, not technicians.

Teachers can use AI to save time on marking, new guidance says
For the first time teachers in England are receiving guidelines on how they should and shouldn't use AI.
Is AI the solution to workload issues or is there a need to systematically review what teachers are currently required to do? A more holistic than symptomatic approach?

There are some things in teaching that AI won’t change
‘Knowledge-rich’ curriculums will still be crucial in a world shaped by the technology
"We won’t be equipping the next generation to get the most out of the new thinking machines if we aren’t teaching them how to think for themselves first."

It has been interesting helping some of our Y3 and Y4 pupils look at ways of solving these sorts of problems - this one is taken from a Grade 3 international maths competition.
