I need some good skies and no wind man. I’ve gained a metric ton this winter because the wind is either 60mph or it’s cloudy. So instead of taking pictures, I cook. I made banana bread, sandwich bread, angel food cake and attempted a lemon meringue pie in addition to dinner today….

Rule of 500: Divide 500 by your focal length to avoid star trails. If you’re using a crop sensor, multiply your focal length by 1.6 first. Simple math, sharp stars.

My understanding of solar flares is severely lacking. How does a single region have flares over and over? I thought it was more or less a one and done kind of thing. But this region has got to be 30+ flares in the last week or two.
