@snell.zone @blankbaby.bsky.social Did a thing at work that made for a very heavy lift for the last 4 mos. What was a woman to do but start listening to Barker and Lewellyn at book #1. Here I am, six chapters into book TEN and already blowing my mind! The peak! Scaling it! Thanks & happy holidays!!
Carson and Hannah Gruen. Late to the party but happy to have a reason to remember!
Indie Bookstore day kicks off with author @josephinewrites.bsky.social Yipee!
Yay!!
@snell.zone Thank you for something very few people probably love as much as me: Incomparable Bookclub episodes. They are kinda rare and precious and I just started over from the beginning, from 2010. The original mention of zeppelins! Anyway, thanks for reading and talking about books.
MY best books of the year. These books have stayed with me and gave me the best reading experiences. They reminded me why I read. Some I wanted to share and some I wanted to hoard. Each book gave me exactly what I wanted, something I didnβt know I needed, and made me feel valued as a reader.
And now I am thinking of rereading it!
Thatβs quite a recommendation. On it! β€οΈ
Such an absorbing reading experience and an amazing novel.
Yes!
Here and Threads
April vacation bookish thought experiment of the day. Itβs vacation! What will you read?!?!
Want a fun, smart, well written mystery to read? This one was FABULOUS. Just saying. @antonyjohnston.bsky.social
Oooh, excellent! Thanks for the recommendation!
I really like books where there is a townβ¦with a secret! Here are five I could think of tonight. Do you have any favorite such books?
Oh thatβs wonderful. And if you havenβt listened to them then you can look forward to listening to them all too!
I might have accidentally read it many times! π so nice to meet another MR fan!
Thinking about Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovich βI left in a hurry before he could change his mind, but I want to make it clear that at no point did I break into a skip.β Magicβll do that!
For some of us, make-believe is the only relief in a world full of horror and uncertainty.
Thank you. Always looking for good new series recs!
Me too! Loooooved it.
Going on the list! Thanks!
Hah! You are right!
Great story. I love the low stakes, big win, possibilities of reading and picking out my next book!
Oh I have never heard him speak! I havenβt read the others over, just A Cold Dish but now I will reread Junkyard Dogs!
On it!
Yeah, thereβs no one quite like him. I started the collapsing empire empire series recently and itβs great in just the right way. I think my favorites, actually, are the Lock-in and Dispatcher stories. I read them on audio though.
Havenβt read his latest but it is on my TBR!
I never read Andy weirs Artemis but I hear good things and I have liked other Scalzi. Iβll look up the Jacobsen and hope you like A Cold Dish!
