Actor George Wendt was born on 17 October 1948 and passed away on 20 May 2025 at the age of 76. For many of us, he will be Norm Peterson. One of only three members of the cast of Cheers to have appeared in all 275 episodes. He has appeared on Saturday Night Live twice as a host and 7 times as a guest. His first television appearance was on Hart to Hart in 1981. He also was in Columbo: Strange Bedfellows, The Naked Truth, Whose Line is it Anyway?, Madigan Men, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Modern Men. George was in many other shows and even appeared in the Spice Girls movie Spice World. To music fans, he was Macaulay Culkin's angry dad in the Michael Jackson music video for Black or White.
Sad to hear of the death of actor George Wendt, age 76.

Thanks go to your mother and many others like her. The NHS wouldnβt exist without their valuable hard work & dedication. Unfortunately itβs clear that the Labour Party are attempting to avoid being wiped out by the right-wing parties. X

Colin Berry was born on 29 January 1946 and passed away on 16 April 2025 at the age of 79. He was a radio disc jockey, presenter and newsreader, best known for his many years at BBC Radio 2. His television career began behind the scenes. He worked in the offices of Westward Television, Granada Television and Yorkshire Television. He was an in-vision continuity announcer at HTV in the Summer of 1971. After joining BBC Radio 1 for a short while, he joined Radio 2 in 1973 as a broadcaster, announcer and newsreader. While at Radio 2, he became the spokesperson for the United Kingdom jury at the Eurovision Song Contest. He announced our points at over 25 contests. He was also the stand-by television commentator, in case the line of Terry Wogan was lost. This never happened, though it nearly did on one occasion, just 30 seconds before the show began! Colin has made guest appearances on The Generation Game, Blankety Blank and Bargain Hunt.
RIP Colin Berry at the age of 79.
Our jury spokesperson at over 25 Eurovision Song Contests as well as a standby commentator if the audio link between the UK and the venue was lost.
Previous to this, he was a continuity announcer on HTV in 1971.

Labour mocked Plaid Cymru when we said they should think about nationalising the steelworks in Port Talbot - but it's now good enough for Scunthorpe.
Why weren't Welsh jobs worth fighting for?
