big hangry tantrum when i reminded my 6yo that she lost her ipad privileges yesterday, but i held my ground and i'm proud of myself! (also got no work done this afternoon.)
And approximately 5.5 months after I gave birth, I finally cooked an entire meal again. I'm basically unstoppable.
i get how this happens, because my shameless kid is the one who recruits other parents to push her on playground equipment when her parents get tired
Temp solution to baby not napping in crib long enough for me to work: napping baby glommed onto my leg while I work on my laptop on the bed.
What's the word for when you're doing well postpartum, but you know it's only because you are guarding your mental health fiercely and it's all just one gust of wind from collapsing? That's where I am.
mine used to say "what do you want me to have?" 🤣
A friend with a 5mo just told me that she has never clipped his nails. Meanwhile, my 4mo old needs a mani every 4-5 days, or she'll leave scratch marks all over me.
Feeling some FOMO this morning, watching WTT from home. I had such a great time at 2023 WTT and hope to be back in 2027 when I don't have a fresh baby!

We have survived our first competition with two kids! Almost 400 skaters, 3 very full days of competition, a 6 year old on a hunger strike, a newborn who comfort nurses, and a long travel day home. One day to unpack and repack and we leave again tomorrow.
My kid decides on her next Halloween costume on November 1. She stubbornly sticks to her decision for approx 48 weeks, and then changes her mind abruptly around October 3. So.....good luck with that! ;)
