This paper on how the brain may do gradient descent is very cool: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
How's the desktop getting in there? Doesn't look like the dashboard desktop ... Purely local or can others in the room see?
The technical report with more details about our work on SIMA 2 is now also available on arXiv!

"There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it. Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch." --- The Thirteenth Koan, with its Companion Verse, Zen of Python.
Thank you so much for doing this!
Epic!
Thank you WEF for the golf cart ride through Davos, but also (more importantly!) for the excellent questions about the future of AI. 🛺

Totally agree! My goal is to get a 3d visualization of a neural simulation (such as below signal propagation in dendrites) into resonite for teaching and demos, controlled live by a jupyter notebook also visible in world so ppl can follow along what I'm doing (our data APIs are in Python).
This is so awesome! For teaching and demos I want Jupyter live in resonite ... It could control live viz with your API, right? Is there a git repo available?
Yeah there's a big difference building your own dream ...
Dear Alfred, apologies for the delayed reply. Why exclude? Let's assert! I think that's what's going on ...
I think it's because you guys have your hearts in the right place, and are building the right thing. Actually I do believe resonite-style builder-focused social VR can disrupt how we work and teach ... And become very important for it
I need hand-tracking in social VR for my research, but gestures just don't work well. I invented a solution. I call it #CyberFinger. We shipped first beta-dev units in late 2025. Now its 2026 and it's really satisfying to start to get community interest and feedback ... here's one of my favorites👇
🤩Excited about ResoniteLink - it looks like yet another powerful science/exploration/experimentation/creation/customization-friendly feature has been added to my favorite social VR platform/engine #resonite
This CyberMonday, we are launching the #CyberFinger to creators and developers of the #Resonite community for a developer evaluation beta now at scicortex.com.
Its a hands-free wearable VR controller for optical hand tracking that plays well with keyboards. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIAD...
In what alternate universe would that be true???? This one: not a chance. Zero.
Excellent funding opportunity: $100k/year for two years for a postdoc position in Montreal. Apply if you're interested in joining Montreal's thriving #NeuroAI ecosystem.
JUPITER, the European Union's new exascale supercomputer, is 100% powered by renewable energy.
What will researchers use it for?

A glimpse at what #NeuroAI brain models might enable: a topographic vision model predicts stimulation patterns that steer complex object recognition behavior in primates. This could be a key 'software' component for visual prosthetic hardware 🧠🤖🧪
Five enduring, in-lab VR results (w/ @stanfordvr.bsky.social): (1) presence depends on activity, (2) self-avatars shape behavior, (3) VR better for procedural than abstract learning,(4) body tracking is powerful but privacy-risky, (5) people underestimate VR distance.

Years later (and many polygons fewer) we finally ported Becoming Homeless to the Meta Quest for free.

Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival (2017), VHIL's most studied piece on VR empathy. Samples in the 1000s, behavioral measures, longitudinal outcomes months later.
It matters @frooxius.bsky.social. You've achieved an amazing thing with the splittening (I didn't expect it so soon). @resonite.com and its community are awesome, and its exciting as a user to see how quickly things develop, while maintaining the open community spirit. Get some rest!
Congrats to @frooxius.bsky.social and team! Very exciting milestone for my favorite Social VR platform @resonite.com !
I'm def seeing a huge jump in performance! Looking forward to the larger events this enables!
I generally go Motorola for stock android. My provider had a crazy deal on a Motorola Edge ... basically free, and it has been great.
Congrats @clayreid.bsky.social @andreastolias.bsky.social @sebastianseung.bsky.social and the MICrONs team!
Glad to see this heroic dataset is finally out!

I'm a big fan of the MICrONs project. It's a huge step forward for understanding cortical structure and function, and a model of open science. This is an amazing artful website that communicates why!
