On the 27th of June 1970 at City Hall, Truro, Cornwall a band called Queen played their first gig under that name. They were billed as Smile but had changed their name prior to the gig as Roger Taylors diary states. I wonder what become of them?
A little advice please. I've been on Discogs and this is the top price I'm well aware it's nowhere near this due to condition.

It's a masterpiece. Probably album wise their peak. Sheer Heart Attack is their best.
It really is. They have done a first class job on the 2024 remaster and the sessions disc, wow!

Ken Oliver scored his 50th Reds goal on this day in 1962 in a 4-0 win over Bristol Rovers at Oakwell. Whilst it was not his most memorable goal [pic], it made him the fastest player to reach the milestone, beating previous record-holder George Lillycrop (92) by one appearance.
Just Russell Wainscoat scoring a ‘rabona’ for The Reds some 25 years before it was apparently first documented…

A superb album each track sees all 4 band members on top form. Opener Death On Two Legs starts you off on a brilliant musical journey ending with God Save The Queen. Special mention to The Prophets Song, Love Of My Life, Seaside Rendezvous and a little track called Bohemian Rhapsody.
