Maybe we should build an automated light metro in the east end of the city, connecting it to downtown. It could work similarly to Vancouver’s SkyTrain.
That's a good idea! I wonder if anyone's thought of that before! And if they did, maybe they had plans with a proposed budget as well. And surely a bunch of nimbys didn't fuck it all up for a third of the city. Surely not. (Yeah, i'm still mad about the REM de l'est lol)

I never said the regime wasn't to blame for anything. I said all of the problems caused by them or environmental degradation are exacerbated by US sanctions that cut the amount of money available to fix those problems Do you really think the situation in Iran would be this bad without US sanctions?
The diaspora. As in the case with Venezuela, they do not care HOW the big bad is removed, because they don't have to live with the consequences, since they don't live there
Some of those problems are derived from extreme inflation, which is in large part induced by US sanctions on their products, and on any country that does buisines with them. Its like blaming all econ problems in Cuba on communism. Cuba would be much richer if they could freely trade w/ the world.
But its foolish. Trump hasn't helped Venezuela at all. He's currently trying to starve cuba. Israel(With US approval) killed hundreds of people last summer when they bombed Tehran. Iranian regime is evil, but the US regime is much worse in terms of people killed internationally since like the 60s

I agree, but they have to give concessions, not just say "guy is evil, vote for me" That's how democracy works.
Saying you wouldn't vote for him 3 years in advance is a good strategy to extract concessions in advance. They need to feel pressure to get better, or they'll turn into another Kamala
