It takes quite a bit of practice to get a reasonable match, I would think. It isn’t fool proof but also voter fraud is “extremely” rare and we don’t need the SAVE Act to make it harder for people to vote.
Did you need to sign something? In my state, ID is required to register. Once you are an established voter at a polling place and they have your signature on record, they match your signature to verify that it’s really you. No ID, but they look at your signature before they give out a ballot.

Anemia is exhausting. Investigate if your are eligible for an iron infusion. I spent decades with terribly low ferritin, no matter what foods or supplements I consumed. I had two iron infusions a couple years apart and wow, I needed them. I’m old now and remain stable and not anemic.
