- Mortality rates for head and neck cancers are nearly 2.5 times higher in the most deprived areas

- Those from the poorest areas in England are 16% more likely to be diagnosed with advanced disease than patients from the most affluent areas

Poor heart health takes a particular toll on the lives and livelihoods of older people.  Factors such as food insecurity and non-decent housing have a direct impact on cardiovascular disease and heart health. This inequity in ageing is not inevitable.
