Whānau, remember how the far-right tried to take over Internet NZ last year and we kicked their butts? They haven't learned, and they're trying to do it again this year. Register by March 31st ($21 for a year) so you can vote in the AGM and send them packing again. members.internetnz.nz

Very pleased to have succeeded in my amendment to restore $1.1 million to climate change response budget (with some reductions including a 500k cut to consultants spend so no rates impact).

The lack of leadership in Aotearoa-NZ is staggering. Our foreign minister has MAGA brain rot. No one is preparing the country for what the next 6 months of a full crisis will look like. Not politicians or journalists. The coverage of Amerisraeli aggression has been extremely muted.

β€˜Not the Kiwi way’: Auckland business associations call on PM to axe move-on orders In an open letter to Christopher Luxon, the Karangahape Road and Uptown business associations said the orders send the β€œwrong message about our society”.

Get you some business association managers like Jamey from Karangahape Road, and Brent from Uptown πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
And big shout out to the businesses behind them, who support doing what actually works to help those without homes rather than vice signalling.

Coalition currently busy cancelling all the detestable bills it had under way because of polls its leader doesnt care about

Remember NZ, they still want to do all this but they also want to get re-elected so they will do this after that if they succeed

How Gloriavale's former leader avoided jail for sex offending spanning more than 20 years The judge ruled Howard Temple would not go on the Child Sex Offender Register.

Is it because of the misogyny embedded in the system?

Deep into the testosterone zone: the AI war

This is a war being waged with a new generation of AI-guided missiles. Gaza was the laboratory, this is the next stage, writes @carolecadwalla.bsky.social

it will most certainly invalidate both home and contents insurance in the NZ and Australian context

And ironically disobey the Resource Management Act on the way out regarding District and Unitary Plans ;)

At 16 she came to NZ for a year. What happened in her host family’s home stayed hidden for years She expected adventure and independence. What happened inside her host family’s home would take more than a decade to confront.

Here’s part one of Rabea Santjer’a story. Massive respect to her for being willing to have her name suppression lifted so she could speak publicly.

How to treat them based on local information. What I've read and seen is that sometimes the zoning doesn't give a great indication to help with trees in pots.

Im based Auckland New Zealand. We have very mild winters so my trees stay outside all year round. Bonsai or developing bonsai is best kept outside. But some places need to bring some into a shelter or indoors depending on species & your winter. Best to visit a bonsai club & ask what species work &

I think they are doing all this in UK Spring repotting season so the trees will have time to establish before winter. I'm not sure how severe their winter is at the nursery, I think it all should be able to withstand winter. Corin & Greenwoood have been doing it for decades, so they have it in hand.

Reaching net zero by 2050 β€˜cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.

Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.

Important issues in play here -- the stories told about MethaneSAT don't add up. (And they should add up to the $30M in public money that was poured into it)

And the people who won't tell us what happened play a key role in deciding what missions can launch from New Zealand soil.
