Little choices. If you have a fallen tree blocking the path, let the player crawl under it or jump over it. If you have a platforming challenge, put in a couple extra platforms to create multiple possible routes. Always make the player feel like they have options, however small

I'm still very early on, but I find myself using Kong Bananza to speed up digging sections. If I think there' something hidden in a wall, I will use it to break down the wall faster. I still try to play through the platforming and combat sections without it, but it's a nice QOL thing.
I think the third point is the main one. People have been increasingly negative of Nintendo ever since the Switch 2 direct, and this game (rightfully or not) is bearing the brunt of that. People are angry at Nintendo, and its the only real target.
