Stop voting for parties that hate the Palestinian people.
Looks like Dublin City Council has bought Camden Yard, a site on Kevin Street, with a plan to built itself new offices there, relocate its Wood Quay HQ there -- per a message from teh council's CEO to councillors.
US liberalism's criticism of the war on Iran mostly boils down to "The implementation of Operation Barbarossa places unnecessary strain on the Wehrmacht."
The position you've worked yourself into where you work backward from support for Ukraine to form an analysis on every other issue is going to gradually force you into an alternative reality where reactionaries and racists are the only genuine representative of social and political justice.
As we all know, when you meet someone at a bar they are legally obliged to tell you the truth about their entire life.
Be slave to America's regional order to the displeasure of the overwhelming majority of your citizenry, have no say anyway
"Why Catherine Connolly's populist pandering on Iran makes Ireland the weak link in European undersea cable defence."
Can't believe President Connolly is trying to represent the politics of her voters and taking a moral position on an illegal war. That is not how democracy is meant to work in Ireland and it threatens our way of life (angling for a big job in Brussels).
EXCLUSIVE: A well placed source close to government has told an anonymous source, who has access to cabinet, that an unnamed official is very happy to go on the record about the hurty feelings caused by President Connolly, on the condition of anonymity.
look mammy, I did a journalism
Objectively correct today, and it was true at the turn of the century. If believed people in e.g. Lebanon, Syria or Iraq were real people whose lives matter, we would’ve stopped doing this stuff decades ago.
Von der Leyen and her Commission are really dangerous, as Ta-Nehisi Coates observed on the US Democratic Party and Gaza if you can't take a stand against genocide you can not be trusted on any issue (in addition Germany, France, Italy and the UK are all _directly involved_ in fighting Israeli wars).
There's been little attention paid to how the right in the EU (which has controlled all the institutions of the EU for decades) has intentionally cut itself off from reality on a whole host of issues from economics to international law because consensus forming was more important than analysis.
Inshallah. Unfortunately thanks to the slavish Atlantacism and wilful ignorance of the European right it's going to take us with it,
Read the whole thread. We're being warned about what Euro-Atlantacism sees as the future and a longing for a return to colonial barbarity and police actions. These are chauvinists and imperialists and in Ireland we need to prevent that poison leeching further into our politics.

I've watched EU elites and EU political discourse get more unhinged, anti-democratic and right wing since I was a child in the 1980s, these trends were always visible, and I understand that there's a boiling a frog quality to it but the EU's dominant political faction is now dangerously radicalized.
Tweet from Finbar Bermingham, March 9th 2026, on Ursula bvon der Leyen speech: Wow: VDL asks if the global rules-based order is "more a help or hindrance" to Europe "Whether the system we built – with well-intentioned attempts at consensus & compromise – is more help or a hindrance to our credibility as a geopolitical actor."
Politics isn't Bluesky's thing but Ursula von der Leyen has just given a big foreign policy speech to EU ambassadors condoning the US/Israeli war on Iran, announcing that international law and multilateralism are a hindrance to EU interests and basically recasting the EU as a security project.
It seems many of the Iranian emigres living in the West who have done paid work for the US State Department or Israel with the expectation of being appointed Minister for Revenge and Grift in mini-Iran by the last Shah's idiot son have a new found distaste for dynastic politics.
The Obama Presidential Library has very Half-Life 2 Citizen Compulsory ConfessionCentre vibes.

Video screenshot from Reddit. Building is now a shell with flames visible in every window.
The roof has collapsed embers rise into the night sky.
The fire at Glasgow central station is utterly devastating. Shops, homes and our transport link to England are being wiped out.
I am amazed by the limited news coverage.
We were sent a letter in December requesting information within 28 days of the date on the letterhead, otherwise the citizenship application would be deemed abandoned.
The date on the letter was 31 days prior to the letters arrival.
They haven't responded to any of our emails in the 3 months since.
From the Times of Gaza. A photograph of a girl, perhaps 12 years old, killed by the Israeli shelling of refugees tents in Gaza today.
Day after fucking day. This is the price Palestinians pay for he Western indulgence of Zionist mania for sixty years. We turned a blind eye for decades to the weekly or daily killing of Palestinian children and now it's normalized. And they will not stop without pressure and punishment.
There is no confirmation that Iran hit an Israeli desalination plant and it's worth remembering that Israel is under strict military censorship and has a motive to suggest Iran has crossed this threshold.
It would be good if Americans stopped using the phrase "boots on the ground" (which is obscurantist neocon stratcomm) and started using more descriptive language like "invading Iran" or "a land invasion of Iran".
Dictator brain!
fuck this world
