-The myth of the "unsinkable" ship sinking on its maiden voyage
-The scale of life lost versus those saved
-The luxury
-The human stories. Ex-Ida Strauss refusing to get into the lifeboat to die w/her husband

Where are my other Titanic kids at? How old were you when you became obsessed? Was there anything special that sparked your interest?
I was 7 when the wreckage was discovered in 85. It was all over the news. Suddenly there were Titanic kids books etc. Here I am 40 years later watching the new doc.

For me, writing fanfiction is not just fun for fun's sake.
It allowed me to grow and experiment in a low/no stakes environment.
Rebuilding my audience after a five year absence will take time. But due to my growth as a writer I know they'll consume a longer, better structured, stronger book.

When I wrote my four solo titles, I struggled to write keep momentum in a 25-35k word book. Lab Rats is 40k and reaching that was like running a marathon.
During the last 5 years I wrote a lot of fanfic. Over the past 3 years I finished a 100k fic, and am nearly 100k but only ~halfway into another.

Rebuilding my online presence and brand is going to be painful given that it's been 4 years since I published anything.

One of the reasons I love writing fanfic is that it has helped build my writing muscles. When I put out my four books I couldn't manage anything beyond 50k words.
But...
From 2022-2024 I wrote a 105k DabiHawks story
I started a Hazbin Hotel LuciferxReader in 2024. It will be over 200k by the end
