Micro Film Review: El Topo (1970)
It definitely feels like a practice run for Holy Mountain and perhaps it was unfair of me to go into it expecting a similar experience. Definitely has some hard to watch moments, especially knowing some of the accusations made against Jodorowsky during production.
Could not agree more.
Also blowing my science fair prize money on the ADV box set.
Micro Film Review: The Right Stuff (1983)
This movie is so so so well done. It balances this kind of goofy cowboy energy with real moments of intense drama and wonder. I still consider this and 2001 to be the two best space movies ever. Everyone I show it to walks away smiling.
