I love it. Sound quality is better. And generally it feels very similar to Spotify. The AI might not be as developed, but still working fine. The catalogue is not as big, but almost. The biggest difference is maybe the lack of stats, and less focus on playlists.
Ambient uncharted is updated (linktr.ee/ambientuncha...) with 12 new songs from @willsamson.bsky.social @ghostintheloop.bsky.social @jayfrederick.bsky.social @sinkwaterband.bsky.social @estroe.bsky.social @nthirteen.bsky.social (among others).
Find it on Spotify, Apple & Tidal!
Switched Spotify → Tidal. No regrets. Should’ve jumped ship sooner!
Retro-futuristic synth shenanigans.
👋
I ended up going with “Ambient uncharted”. I plan to start it up on Tidal within a month.
Complex oscillating 😎
Octatrack/Vector Wave/LXR/Stolperbeats.
Happens to me all the time. I often lose 200 points at a time, and have to spend several days to catch up.
Morphagene returns! This will be my 3rd time owning it 😎
Yeah, that’s not too bad. I’ve been considering something similar in Authentic Ambient (perhaps followed by Community/collective/movement).
Not too bad. It captures the community part. But is perhaps a little unclear, it’s difficult to know what to expect from a playlist with that name.
I really love Rossum’s Panharmonium. It’s in almost every patch I make. It’s so convenient - it simply follows along with whatever I’m doing, creating a blanket of atmosphere.
Do you use Tidal, or some other streaming service?
I know. I’m planning to move from Spotify to maybe Tidal for my personal listening, and plan to start up the list there then too.
Yeah, maybe, I’ve also considered the community aspect, since the playlist only features songs from artists from our ambient community. Maybe “something ambient community/collective” or similar.
The focus hasn’t been to make the listener calm/get away from reality, but to reflect it, or make art from the artists experience. Or that’s how I see it at least.
I’m thinking alternate to mainstream ambient, which might be either new age or very slow/much reverb. Instagrambient has always focused more on experimental ambient and electronic music made my small artists within our synth community. Often with tape imperfections, but not always.
So I’m considering renaming the Instagrambient playlist to make it more “inclusive” of other platforms. What is a fitting name? Alternative ambient is the best I can come up with. But there might be better suggestions…
Current state of things ❄️
Hi there! 😎
Ok, so we’re meeting here now I think.
