By the end of next week, Senators agreed to hold floor debates and votes on legislation to end the global tariffs against Brazil and Canada. A vote could also be in the coming weeks on ending military strikes near Venezuela against alleged drug boats in the Caribbean unauthorized by Congress.
Senators may also vote on a bill by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and other Republicans to pay federal employees and military servicemembers who have been required to work during the gov't shutdown now in its 20th day.
