I fear it will only get worse
Very creative!
So many to choose from but I think my personal least favorite is Last Christmas
Trump was president during the pandemic. He put out misinformation not Biden
These are burdens that younger physicians face that older physicians did not. It has not been proven to improve quality of care.
But I find the other MOC components just to be busy work. I have not mentioned the cost of maintaining 3 board certification which is substantial. Why is it important to maintain certification? Most hospitals will not let you serve on staff and insurance companies will not pay you if you lapse
If you donβt want to do articles you can take a test every 10 years. I have 3 board certifications to maintain which means that I have 70 articles to do in this 3 year cycle (this is in addition to CME). I have no problem doing CME. All doctors should engage in lifelong learning
Now every 3 years we have to complete MOC (maintenance of certification). In addition to CME, you have to do additional special hours of CME, a performance in practice project, and complete a series of articles and answer questions about those articles.
Working on MOC today.. for those who donβt know, prior to about 20 years ago, doctors were board certified for life. We had to complete a certain amount of continuing activity per year for our licenses but did not have to do much else to maintain board certification. #medsky #neurology #neurosky π§΅
Thanks for putting this together
Itβs a classic
Yep
Yes- these are all useful. I have also used for letters of recommendation (heavily edited afterwards). AI scribe has not worked well from me as a neurologist
Listening to this fascinating podcast on how AI is better than doctors at diagnosing in structured clinical vignettes. Are you using AI in your practice yet? I use to write letters to insurance companies. #medsky #neurosky #neurology #AI
