Just as Marines have gained proficiency in fire and maneuver at the tactical level, Marines of tomorrow have to gain the knowledge of how exploit suppressive counter-C5ISRT effects to maneuver battalions, squadrons, regiments, and groups under cover.
During WWII the 442nd RCT, a segregated unit of Japanese-American soldiers, joined the 36th ID, formerly of the Texas National Guard.
More than 800 442nd members were later killed or wounded rescuing 211 Texans trapped behind enemy lines.
