I played games with a friend this morning. I went to the trans group meetup and spoke to my new friend there. Then my other friend who I am getting to know better picked me up and we chatted and played cards.

I could never have imagined having such a friend-heavy day without burning out socially.

I've learned that a lot of guys visualize our social environment like this: bar showing about 90% good men and 10% crazed evil men but it's actually closer to this: bar that shows some "heroic men who will intervene", some "well-meaning men who underestimate the issue", some "men who think predation is an unfortunate fact of life", some "men who think certain women deserve it (but aren't active predators)", some "men who passively enjoy/consume/encourage predation", some "textbook predators we're all aware of", and some "monsters so cruel we can't even fathom them"
