A handful of my favorite Disneyland Railroad photos. Offered for no particular reason - I was just thinking about how much I enjoyed making these.

Thinking about starting a business to rent out this one button for people to get into some interesting conversations at a Disney Park.

Tagging some potential customers.

Insurrectionist Brunch: Trumpists plotted to deploy military on U.S. soil Before the 2024 election, a cadre of MAGA loyalists met over brunch to plot ways for Trump to use the military domestically.

This is just astonishingly great reporting.

All of the crises the White House has claimed over the last 14 months were planned in advance. All of them.

And however much contempt you have for media outlets who reverently relayed Trump's claim to have no relation to Project 2025, it isn't enough.

Screenshot of an X post by HasanAbi commenting on how to discuss trans issues with median voters. The post quotes Marco Foster, who says the anti-trans campaign in Maine is funded by an out-of-state billionaire to distract from tax discussions and notes that very few trans kids compete in high school sports there. Below is a podcast-style video still of a man speaking into a microphone.

When you hear them target any vulnerable communityβ€”immigrants, trans people, refugeesβ€”ask first why they're trying to distract and divide us. Don't fall for it.

I'm too bored of this to try and be clever about it anymore.

If you think that two men kissing, or two women kissing, requires any more explanation than a man kissing a woman, that is homophobia.

It seems hard to believe it wouldn't need repainting in the 41.5 years of Carnation Ice Cream Parlor's operation, but it does look very similar to 1955.

What?! Signage has been removed from Carnation CafΓ©, revealing the old Carnation Ice Cream Parlor porcelain (?) sign still on the building. This sign dates from Disneyland’s opening in 1955 and has been covered over since the late 1990s. Cool that it’s still there!

Halloween night at the Tip-Top Club is one you’ll never forget. These are the contents of a hotel guest’s pocketβ€” one that never made it back to their room on that cursed evening. Maybe they should have taken the stairs.

If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.

The Trump Administration destroying all original copies of the Constitution of the United States in an aviation disaster would be laughed out of the writers room as too obvious. Right?

Minneapolis isn't an especially sweary place but there are so many houses that have homemade "FUCK ICE" signs and I've had multiple conversations with parents about how we're okay with our kids using that word in this context because sometimes it IS okay to swear and this is one of those times.

Wikipedia blacklists Archive.today, starts removing 695,000 archive links If DDoSing a blog wasn't bad enough, archive site also tampered with web snapshots.

The headline does not convey how completely batshit this story is. The Archive Today (archive.ph etc) admin weaponized the site's captcha to attack a blogger who wrote about them and *altered archived screenshots* as part of the attack.
