Part of what I adore about Caves of Qud is that it is _not_ entirely procedurally generated. You can see a lot of human touches in the characters and quests you encounter. The staticness of the human touch makes the experience far better!

When mechsplo positions itself chiefly as social commentary instead of porn — as the early genre-defining works did — it makes sense to me, even with a sexual frisson added. But if a narrative starts to be like, "and this part is hot too" it instantly loses me

There is a lot about mechsploitation as a sexual interest that makes sense to me. Loss of control and responsibility, becoming a valuable object, obsession with a personal authority figure, etc

But there's always a point where I hit a wall and it's being a murder/oppression tool. Why's that hot??
