He tended to ingratiate himself with awful people and get them to hang themselves with their own words and actions. He did the same with Westboro Baptist Church, Eugene Terreblanche and others in South Africa, some televangelists and many others.
LT started out doing really interesting documentaries about people on the fringes of American society. Some harmless, some scary. Gritz was definitely in the latter category, but I'd suggest that quite a few in the docs would be considered quite mainstream now. 😞
Oh I remember him from somewhere, I think he featured in a Louis Theroux documentary... he was a proper lunatic as I recall.

I did a roadtrip from Seattle via Yellowstone, The Rockies etc. to Vegas in the summer of 2016. I arrived from UK supremely complacent that USA wouldn't be stupid enough to vote Trump and I left really worried that it would happen and would be as horrific as it turned out. 😞

That's good. I think the whole world still has a depressingly long way to go regarding misogyny (amongst other incredibly important areas) but we should celebrate improvement where we can see it, and encourage others to learn from these advances.
