Ever wanted to annotate on a Desmos file?
I have a new free tool that allows you to do just that! Useful for #MathsToday

This looks great, thanks for sharing! It would be helpful to have a pen tool that draws straight lines, too, if that were possible. Thinking of using this to show how to solve quadratics graphically
An example generated by the graph paper resource.
An example generated by the axes resource.
Looking for simple to use, customisable axes or graph paper?
I've made a couple of tools for this.
Designed to be printed or pasted into PowerPoints etc.
The snipping tool (win+shift+s) is your friend.

I wrote a post on how I've been thinking about scaffolding maths lessons recently, using AI to help reduce the workload. May be useful for other maths teachers

I've sometimes managed to fix it by telling Gemini to use an Edexcel exam paper as a model for how the diagrams should look, but it's not great at the angle arcs generally

Teaching Vectors to Y12 tomorrow. Wanted to break down some of the individual skills into short activities as a scaffold/ to support fluency. Generated these activities to display after the explanation. Very impressed with what Gemini has generated

Just getting to grips with building a website so excuse the state of it
But i've built this Graph Theory Key Terms connect the dots using vibe coding (thanks @harryzafar.bsky.social for all of your work in this area). About 50 mins worth of work.

It's been a while since I shared this, but if anyone has recently joined Bluesky and is looking for people to follow who teach/post about A Level Maths (and post-16 Maths education), you might find this useful:

If you post about these things and would like adding, let me know π
Hello, glad you found it helpful! These look great
I'm not sure the best way to link it in Google Slides, as I don't use it. I've been saving the files on my computer and linking them into my PowerPoints using hyperlinks. I don't know if Slides might work in a similar way or not
I just created this using your advice. Wow! I am blown away! I also added the new grid option too. Thank you.

Resources are here if you've never seen the OAT curriculum (it's brilliant)
GM6 is the circle theorems

In #MathsToday I've been using the OAT Maths resources to teach Circle Theorems to year 11. Finding them fantastic for scaffolding and supporting student understanding
The maths Conf session back in June from @jemmaths.bsky.social was a great introduction to using the resources
I'm finding the same, it can give some real quality stuff with little effort. Glad to hear you're finding it useful too
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for posting the steps. I tried it out and created a Google Site to drop the html into so that I could share a like on a Google Classroom. sites.google.com/gnspes.ca/ca...
Gemini, I wrote a post about this not long ago with details!
We now don't know a world without it (social media, banking , basic infastructure of schools and government etc). I think we may be moving into a similar AI everywhere world
I take your point, but most things we consume today have an impact somewhere that we don't want to think about. AI has an energy problem, which will have to be solved for the companies to be profitable. Being hooked may well be true but could have been said about the internet.
I am still finding it incredible how quickly AI can produce high-quality questions for my lessons. These are fantastic for displaying on the board and clicking to reveal answers as students work, a few at a time.
Took 2 mins to make and they sequence exactly as I wanted!

I wrote a post about one of the ways in which I've been using AI as part of my lessons. It may be worth a read if you're interested in creating tailored resources for your Maths lessons

I've written a second post on using AI in the Maths classroom to aid student learning, this time in generating checks for understanding. May give you some useful ideas

Also uploaded a scaffolded worksheet for standard deviation
Some new resources for Scatter Graphs/Regression for GCSE Statistics. Uploaded to mathboardwalk.com
Made them as part of experimenting with AI to generate worksheets, all quality checked.

Some schools do a test at the end of every topic. For some, this can mean 10 tests a year, not including end of year.
This may be trying to game the testing effect, but this isn't increasing outcomes as much as you may think.
We test three times a year. open.substack.com/pub/joel1201...
I've tried LaTeX with overleaf a little. I've been experimenting with both web development languages and LaTex to see which I prefer to generate worksheets.
I'll try both some more before I decide which to stick with!
Thanks a lot for this, will definitely look into this with Visual Studio/an IDE
Haven't made anything for GCSE Stats for a while. Thought I'd try experimenting with AI worksheet generation for Spearman's Rank. Happy with the result!
