Anything by @jawska.bsky.social. Wannabe Games is a two person team, so getting Alex Sprague as the guest player only makes sense.

(What I really want is a miniseries of criminally underrated Means of Magick, but Wannabe's one shot games shine)
I like the review mostly, but I deeply disagree with "rules as cards is awkward"
Mario and his girlfriend Daniella from the live action Super Mario Bros. movie. They're at an Italian restaurant. Daniella is a pretty white woman with curly black hair wearing a low cut black dress. Mario is played by Bob Hoskins; he has a moustache and is slightly balding and is wearing a brown jacket and a dark shirt with a popped collar. Both are wearing non descript necklaces.
Bob Hoskins Mario and Big Bertha dancing in the live action Mario Bros. Movie. Big Bertha is a black woman nearly a foot taller than Mario. Mario is wearing a bizarre yellow leisure suit with yellow gloves. They are in a night club.
She's great. Really. I hope she finds happiness. But she's standing in the way of the movie's best ship.
I hate him because of that and because the "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" ruined entertainment criticism
Which is to say, Iโm unbelievably thrilled to say this morning Iโve signed a contract with @mitpress.bsky.social for the trade publication of my next book, an exploration of the first two decades of TTRPG Actual Play.
Not to be all "I was cool BEFORE the discourse" but I've *always* punched back at "separate the art from the artist." Why would I do that? The whole point of art is that somebody made it. That attitude helped Gen AI exist; it framed art as something that could exist apart from its creator.
This is all to say I am currently running a crowdfunding campaign for Galleons of the Thunderosa, the fantasy racing TTRPG that works in DnD or stands alone!

Like, sure, there's a subsection of TTRPG writing that is designing maps, monsters, etc., but it's not *required.* There was a whole-ass audience out there that was happy with good mechanics and for someone to explain them in a digestible, but entertaining way! THAT WAS ME! THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!
I also found out I had a very very big knack for expository writing and made a career as a journalist, then a technical writer. And then I discovered TTRPGs, and boy did things click. This was a type of game that was 1. Expository writing and 2. Almost entirely mechanics.
When I was
A young boy
I dreamed of making video games.
Turns out, I don't know how to do that. I don't just mean I don't know how to code, I mean I discovered I have no sense for designing levels, etc. But I did have a slight knack for coming up with a cool central mechanic.
Yes, exactly. Unfortunately, the one thing that genAI can do pretty well is write an email. It's not bad at grammar. So if you feed raw data to an AI and tell it to make a manual out of it for an end user, the thing it makes is going to *look* fine at first glance. And that's all the suits want.
I'm a technical writer in my day job. Getting pretty nervous!
The Tempur-pedic logo, which has a simple outline of a human figure lying on their side, seen from the back. The figure is tastefully nude and the butt isn't hyper detailed, but it is unmistakably a butt.
I respect Tempur-Pedic for just. Having a butt on their logo.
Tell me you cannot hear Tim Robinson saying "I'm not Mario, I'm... Wario"
And Sam Richardson confidently following up with "And I'm WALUIGI"
"YOU CAN'T JUST ADD WA- TO YOUR NAME YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR OWN THING, I CHANGED THE M TO A W, YOU JUST ADDED WA-"

The biggest thing I have in common with @oneshotrpg.bsky.social is that I also spent a good chunk of my life evangelizing Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated to anyone who would listen
He turns on and ruins the career of literally everyone who is loyal to him. Why do people line up for his approval? Why is his attention not seen as a curse?
This sucks. AP was my last holdout for trust. I used to write articles in AP style. Ran syndicated AP stories. Hell, I wrote a couple of stories that got picked up by AP. I was one of them. Now I don't recognize them.
You've all seen the Flonase monsterfucker commercial, right

My day job had an "Engineer appreciation festival" and it took everything I had not to shout "Engineers are not under-appreciated! They are well-paid and their jobs are highly sought-after!"
Rouge the bat and Knuckles the Echidna standing next to each other on top of a skyscraper during day. Knuckles has his arms crossed and eyes closed and is saying "One day they love us because we're unique. The next day we're in jail because we're different."
I'm watching Sonic X finally as a Sonic Completionist, and it's... mostly bad, but this line hit
I also need your help for Galleons of the Thunderosa, a zine with everything you need to run world-spanning adventures and races on giant vehicles crewed by the whole party!
