As the post says, obviously it’s about making money - it’s the hypocrisy of using the excuse of player welfare to scrap replays, whilst flying halfway round the world to play two games in six days at the end of a 9 month season.
The organisers aren’t paying millions for the kids to play.
FA Cup replays scrapped to "protect players" yet here is the latest example of big clubs jetting off for overseas post-season friendlies.
Fixture congestion is a convenient excuse which always seems to disappear when money is involved.
