I don’t know if it is true yet, but I read that the current administration is aiming to take away married women’s voting rights because they do not have their same name from birth. Seems silly, but IF if were true, then based on that logic, this means Kanye (Aka: Ye) cannot vote. #silverlinings

“Woke” = “Awake”, meaning the individual’s eyes are open and they are maintaining a dominant state of awareness.

Some Americans see it, but those of his cult following are blindly echoing Fox News, which often contradicts itself. To me, Trump was never “president” material. He is a reality TV star and he is so out of touch. He cannot relate to everyday people and he is treating our government like television.

This is lightly comforting. Microsoft is not in on this nonsense or they would have someone who knows how to mail merge.
They are no longer the Republican party. The Republican party was not my party, but they have been more respectable. This is the MAGA party, but their methods are “fuck around and find out” because of lack of experience and it will kill countless people.
That urge to move out of state and start over is a trauma response. When faced with great discomfort, your body will often experience a charge of energy that desires to be moved and released. Imagining moving away and starting over is one way to lightly engage with that charge without uprooting.
Embodied pleasure matters at all times. It resources us to experience a balanced nervous system, it prolongs our lives, and it fills our own cup so we may serve others well. Prioritize pleasure in your own body each day.
Reminder: All of this *gestures to the Trump/Musk shitshow* is awful, but we who experience privilege through white genetics can still take action to reconcile the wrongdoings of our ancestors by supporting black-owned businesses, showing up at rallies, and speaking out against racial injustices.
Just like with TikTok, he desires to create scarcity, blame that scarcity on someone else, then give it back and label himself a “hero”. Though, I doubt he will return much of what is taken. I also doubt that which is returned will be untampered with.
💔 Children deserve to feel safe to express who they are with acceptance and support, not national scrutiny. This is heartbreaking.
Currently, the office is attempting to overthrow democracy and transform our country into a dictatorship, so this is new territory. Patriotism ethics do not stand on stable ground in this particular presidency. This was a seized opportunity for peaceful protest.
When we allow ourselves to become disconnected from our pleasure, we become disconnected from our body’s primal + wild wisdom, leading our minds to become easier to control. Reclaiming pleasure is an act of courageously embodied rebellion in a puritanical culture.

My conscious mind wants to take action against injustices, but my body is asking for rest and healing.
