I had my surgery follow up today. The nurse was very happy with my healing!
It's exactly as they'd hope for it to be at this stage!
I can come off the painkillers now, but stay on soft food for another week.
The nurse told me I'm a good boy!

I had to go back, as I've got stress cystitis, and nearly had to go back again, but I had a good wee this afternoon, and I've slept a LOT today!
Hooman says it will feel a lot better once it's healed. 😸

I told the Hooman what you said, but they said no! 🙀🙀🙀
They said I'm not allowed cream and yoghurt because of my tummy!
How cruel is that?!

It got very close to needing to go to the vets again today, but I finally did a good wee, and I didn't cry!
The Hoomans will still keep a close eye on me, and I'm getting lots of extra liquids in my food, but they seem a lot more relaxed than they did early this afternoon!

Oh wow, that is a lot!
Hooman isn't sure if I had the roots done or not.
The Hooman keeps telling me I'll feel better, and be a lot happier once it's healed up, for the same reason! They say it won't hurt when I eat anymore.
That sounds good to me!

I'm eating more normally now, and I finally did a good wee this afternoon, with no crying! The Hoomans were ready to take me to the vets if I'd cried, or not weed enough, but they were satisfied.
I'm going to have lots of extra liquids for a while, and sleep lots to recover! 😸

It got close. But I finally did a decent wee, and I didn't cry at all!
The Hoomans were going to take be to the vets straight away if I hadn't been able to wee properly that time! 🙀

I got the Hoomans very worried about not weeing, and got very close to going to the out of hours vets!
But I did a decent sized wee, with no crying at all!

I have an apt on sat, for the vet to check my mouth is healing.

Niels' second surgery.
This is not very helpful of Tom, and he shall be told so! 😹
The dental surgery isn't covered by the insurance either.

I hate that I have to worry about money, when I'm worried about Tom, and he should be my whole focus.

So paws crossed that he has a wee soon!

That will be surgery.

I don't know how we'd manage that.
Yesterday was £1,000.
Today was yet more, for the appointment and some meds.
The OOH is £300 just to get in the door!
Blockage surgery, or a catheter to just ease it for him, is over £2,000.

I'm meant to be trying to save up for...

Tom Update

He's not got a blockage, thankfully!
It's stress cystitis. The main thing now is for him to wee. And ideally start eating!
If he gets more pain when weeing, or he stays not able to go, he'll have to go to the out of hours vet, and if he's blocked...

Tom update
He's going back to the vets right now, as he's been crying when weeing, and going in and out of the litter tray.
He didn't have a urinary catheter during the surgery, so this is really not good.
He also won't eat at all.

#Hedgewatch for an hour!
Niels joined me for a bit.
I smell very strange! The vets washed me, and now my neck is pink from my blood! 🙀

Six teeth is a lot to lose at once. I've managed to eat a little bit though.

I've been home for a while. The Hooman has been letting me settle in and keeping an eye on me as I'm a bit wobbly, and struggling to jump.
I've been very awake, and I spent a long time making sure it's my house!

Molars removed, and has dissolvable stitches in.
He'll be weak for a couple of days, and he'll be sore for maybe a week, but he'll be feeling a lot better once it's healed up.

Update on Tom

He's out of surgery, and woken up and is doing really well!
He's mostly hiding under the blanket, but he's been really brave, and has let his nurse gently stroke his head with one finger!
We're going to pick him up at 18:00 (it's 16:25 now)

Please can I have a #pawcircle today, furrends. I've just been dropped off for dental surgery. I've been in quite a bit of pain recently, and when I was checked in, the vet saw that one of my teeth is loose!

Today is our Fifth Gotcha Day Anniversary!
Here we are on Day one, and now, at year Five!

We were quite scared early on, and we still have our anxiety problems, but we've come a long way!

The Hoomans can't believe it's been 5 years already!
