JEFF- I got MRSA`and almost died. Not a good st0ry, but one you should know
I learned today, that the word "topiary" from the Latin "Topo opera" (shortened) which means "worked landscape" (opera = work, topo = place, like "topological"). Because apparently the Romans carved their shrubberies into animals and whatnot.
Hilarious. "I thought I could just spout pseudo-religious nonsense and stay back-bench, but somehow I became Speaker and now I have to fund basic government functions; my base are idiots and are against this."
The kind desk-guy at my Mom's care facility said "I like your shirt" today. I am a big ol' kinda fat guy. When you're big and bad, you go loud+plaid. Dude cheered me right up, tho.
I would never!
You can also make 'em with Bisquick, butter, and an s-load of cheese.
Anybody else get hammered on their taxes by the reduction in child tax credits? Yowch.
I have terrible rhythm, I can't be a percussionist at all, but gosh the drummers get the the fun toys, huh?
Popular songs you've probably heard the vibra-slap in:
Short Skirt / Long Jacket. CAKE. 03:24.
Feelin' Alright. Joe Cocker. 04:10.
Crazy Train. Ozzy Osbourne. 04:56.
Godspell soundtrack "Light of the world" (beat 5, measure 6- my slap!)

Yeah, gotta make that clarinet reed vibrate consistently, w/o squeaking, it's a different mouth position than flute. A vibra-slap is a percussion instrument that makes a distinct rattly sound. Claiming to play vibra-slap is like saying "I play triangle" it really only does one note.
Played clarinet in band, 5th-8th grade. 1st chair, 8th grade.
Guitar, self-taught, since 7th grade. Vibra-slap and guitar in amateur Godspell productions, 1989, 2018.
Both silly and dark. Great one.
Routine, happy things: the day when I send out invites for Biology Honor Society to deserving students, and hear back about how excited they are to be honored.
girls/women wrestle now... awesome!
medical procedures*
*if you can afford them (good insurance)
e.g.- Stents instead of heart bypass
Hip replacements as outpatient
nerve blocks for orthopedic surgery
I once taught at a high school named after the guy who invented the linotype machine. This gives me a lot of clout, I think.
Well, he can only shoot one at a time. If a gang of thieves visit his home though... :-/
That's what I'm talking about! I have research software in my lab that only runs on a 32 bit processor. Know how hard it is to find a functional 32 bit processor? Not easy.
My post quality on social media peaked around 2015, and has been decilining ever since. Is this true for others?
It was really the soundtrack of 1995 for me.
I can imagine a whole series of scenes like this, call 'em "Bad Artistic Choices Theatre"
I mean, by then, Bon Jovi's was already in hock, and Adams hadn't had his since '69... so it was really Jimmy's to work with.
post a PERFECT album from the 90s that isnβt Nirvana or Pearl jam or Soundgarden orAlice in Chains
I think he could afford a LOT of porch-swings by the time he wrote Six-String Music
And if Jimmy Buffett hadn't had front porch swing, what then?
Ever think about why nobody ever calls a guitar a "six-string" except in song lyrics?
I have no beef with Beef.
I'm pretty sure he scared me outta considering any sort of military career.
That's gonna be right up there with "subway bag searches" for big popularity boosters for Mr. Mayor.
