Yeah, I do kind of feel like it's one of those movies that you need to have seen as a kid to appreciate as much as an adult. I'll always have a soft spot for Hook because I loved it as a kid, even though I discovered later on that critics hated it.

It also illustrates how much of a hero Alex Pretti was. Most people (but especially men) do not become nurses for ego or glory; they do it because they care for others and want to heal.
It's a small moment that says so much about Aragorn's character, and, especially in juxtaposition with Denethor's actions, proves that he is the one to lead Gondor.
All these wannabe despots and bootlicking fascists who view themselves as Aragorn seem to conveniently forget or ignore this part.

I rewatched Return of the King EE recently, and while it is all an incredible film, the scene that hit me hardest was when Aragorn was personally caring for Eowyn in the Houses of Healing.
