But on a real note I feel like a lot of the most popular Magical Girl Squads have a team member that match each issue the intended audience age is dealing with (i.e. Usagi being a crybaby, not feeling โgirlyโ enough, being The Smart One in a friend group of other talents, etc.)
The Gang Goes To The Beach and/or The Amusement Park episode is the first thing that comes to mind
Sorry if this is the wrong post to do this on, but I just found your book on a Night Worms recc new release list & canโt wait!!
need to see this list tbh

Iโve finished the series & that never got easier for me tbh, the descriptions are wonderful just canโt keep them straight ๐ตโ๐ซ
Have you tried the movie yet? Theyโre never as good as the book obvi, but I was like ok go off they did a good job on the absolute DREAD of it all
The โdogโ scene haunts me ๐ฉ
My only beef with TLWTASAP is thereโs not enough fan art of it yet iโm bad at visualizing all these alien races Becky!!!
Incredible debut in a series by #BeckyChambers - focuses on deeply getting to know the alien/human characters & their relationships, less about the intergalactic problems around them. Almost slice of life to me, I loved it & recently read the final book. ๐ Special place in my heart now. #booksky ๐๐
Feeling a lot of dread and fear lately. I took these photos in 2016 & am trying to gather up the lil tattered bits of hope/community/empowerment I felt in my city on these days.

isnโt it great when readingโs like โHey check out this book I love! No, I donโt recommend it.โ ๐
idk if I did the same bc Dogs or bc of the sheer traumatic weight of it, but yes there are way more disturbing things in it before the dogโs fate ๐ฎโ๐จ
๐จattn horror luvrs๐จ #ItCameFromTheCloset is an essay collection on horror films analyzed by queer writers & while some of them are a stretch (very on brand for this niche, right?), I really loved it as a whole. Iโve heavily tested it as a ooky spooky gift option & itโs always well received. #booksky
HIGHLY RELATABLE & the random gruesome child death caught me way off guard too. my jaw was in the floor during this adult reread several times.
ngl I was worried I romanticized this one/read it so young the racism went over my head, but pleased to say it holds up! More concerning: a librarian gifted me this before I left elementary school & whyyy did she devastate me like that?? My rural childhood self loved it but sheesh. #booksky
Not 100% what you asked for BUT Iโm really loving #Interabled by the Burcaws. Itโs a lot of meet-cute stories from different, real couples but also ongoing, enduring love stories that challenge disability stigma. Halfway thru and I am really on my screaming-from-the-rooftops I LOVE LOVE wagon rn ๐ฃ๏ธ
Novellas had a moment for me in 2024 & this #ClaireKeegan story was my fav. While not a 100% true story, itโs based on the real historical events of Irelandโs Magdalene Laundries. Just really interesting & full of feeling - I hope the movie does it justice, I still need to see it. #booksky
Need to get my paws on From Here To Eternity but my library hasnโt gotten it yet. I love her sense of humor!
My 1st #CJTudor read was a perfect winter horror pick for the girl going to the Xmas Day Nosferatu release (me). Grisly rural Alaska, vampires, a cool older woman detective. Checked all my boxes and would make a solid limited series imo. #booksky
