fun fact: the department of homeland security added restrictions last year to its nonprofit security grants program that help synagogues and other jewish institutions hire security that effectively makes it so that liberal jewish organizations can't qualify
A guy rammed his car through a door at Detroit’s largest synagogue and got out with a gun and was shot by security before he could massacre everyone inside.
And yes all synagogues that can afford it have security. And yes it’s exactly because of situations like this that they do.

Chicago Chili's has fired a trans manager who uses they/them pronouns saying it objects to their "personal values and lifestyle" apparently in conflict with S/C's Bostock decision which bans workplace discrimination based on gender identity.
This is good for NYC and the vast majority of people who live here, especially if they create a system for permits for residents.

What's scary about this story is the surveillance it hints at. This trans woman had changed her name, legally, but chose not to change her gender marker. She was apparently flagged in the DMV system as trans and her license was invalidated under a law that supposedly only concerned gender markers.
