yeap! and shimano/magura recc lever bleeds more so than full system bleeds
also you may need to perform an caliper/piston cleaning/lubricating
park tool has the vid for this....
i can help w ur shimano bleeding if you like but the short version is you do the process backwards
also see the magura process for bleeding and hybridize the two
gravity bleed first removing contaniments, then syringe caliper to push fluid thru lever, then do lever bleed
