Thanks to sponsor Rep. Lekanoff. This is a bill I worked on as Attorney General, and I'm grateful for everyone who continued to work hard to get it to my desk today.

Today I signed a bill repealing outdated language conflicting with judicially affirmed and treaty-reserved fishing rights.

Washington state acknowledges and affirms the legal and historical agreements and obligations established with Washington's Tribes.

I signed several bipartisan bills this week to address the housing crisis in Washington state.

That included a bill I mentioned in my State of the State address — creating more affordable housing by making it easier for pre-made modular housing to meet building standards.

The Senate has agreed to the House's changes on SB 5855, Sen. Valdez's bill to bar law enforcement from wearing face coverings.

That means the next stop is my desk.

What's happening in our country and our state with ICE is horrific, unjust, and it needs to stop — now.

The Millionaires’ Tax will apply to less than one half of one percent of Washingtonians, but make life more affordable for millions. I look forward to signing it.

that’s money straight back into the pockets of working families.

It saves working parents money and ensures our kids are prepared to learn by funding free breakfast and lunch for all Washington K-12 students, which has been a priority of mine since I ran for governor.

Preserving preventive services is now law! The Governor just signed House Bill 2242 to ensure continued access to no-cost preventive services (like well-child visits and vaccinations) for Washingtonians who choose to use them. #waLeg

We are not standing by and leaving ourselves at the mercy of the federal government’s chaotic, politicized, unscientific policies.

Yesterday I signed my bill with Insurance Commissioner Kuderer to give Washington state decision-making authority on what vaccines to recommend.

Emotional and historic moment today for nannies, cooks, housekeepers, home caregivers, gardeners, and more who now have basic labor protections.

I was proud to sign the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights — 6 years after I initially proposed it as Attorney General.

On my first day of signing bills, we covered a lot of ground in housing — condos, modular housing, scissor stairs, middle housing, and more.

We need a lot more housing of all kinds. Thanks to the Legislature for their bipartisan work in this area.

I'm proud to announce Theo Angelis as our next Washington State Supreme Court Justice.

In his 25 years of legal practice, Theo has handled dozens and dozens of appeals on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, giving him a broad perspective.

Thanks to Dane for helping me sign my first bill this year: Legislation to help Seattle build affordable rental housing by removing state barriers to assist with housing projects.

We have a huge need for more housing in our state. Grateful to prime sponsor Rep. Julia Reed.

Washington state stands up for the rights of all women, including by protecting access to critical health care. We celebrate the role models who inspire young Washingtonians like my daughter.

The first bill I introduced last year was to fund free school lunch and breakfast for all Washington students.

This version of the Millionaires' Tax will make that happen.
