I tend to listen to radio news. And read a bit of the Guardian. I just feel happier (or less unhappy) not knowing too much about what fresh hell the world has become! And lose myself in old box sets. I find partially disconnecting from the world rather helpful to my blood pressure!!!

I have a new boat neighbour. He is an actor, currently working on #RingsofPower. He’s been filming in Wales this week and bought me a gift from the caves on the beach doubling for Númenor. I am incredibly touched by it - from the realm of Edain, ancestors of Gondor and Rohan.

I know it’s not that simple. I’m not a politician, an economist or a diplomat and I’m certainly not a party political animal but fuck Trump. That’s my gut instinct. Fuck him and his soon-to-be-elected-dictatorship.
I actually love the States and the people. I’ve spent a lot of time there and I appreciate all the wonderful things (as well as recognising the not so wonderful). But the current President and his lackeys are destroying everything good about it. I say enough.
Ukraine should be supported. Canada, Greenland and Panama must be supported. We should not tiptoe around regime that changes its mind every day, threatens sovereign nations with annexation, bullies over trade. Enough.
