3. That said, let me be clear, Kirk said and did some things I detest. He didn’t deserve to get shot for it though. Nor did any of the many other people throughout history or current times that have been shot at or killed for expressing their beliefs and leading movements that threatened status quo.

1. I pray for Charlie Kirk's family, may he rest in peace, and for our country. He did not deserve to be assassinated for engaging in civil debate, which was once a cornerstone of our Republic. Working across the aisle was once normal. Now, if we are honest, political violence is normal. God help us

1/ The constitution says only Congress can declare war. At most the commander-in-chief can repel attacks. Iran did not attack the US. This war is unconstitutional. As ill considered, as it was, at least the Iraq War was based on a congressional authorization of military force. #Iran #bluesky
4/ But DJT wants to be a king or dictator rather than POTUS, of a constitutional democracy. And we are subject to his whims and declining mind because Congress has ceded its power and WE THE PEOPLE and other institutions have not resisted enough. Franklin said, we have a republic if you can keep it!
3/ The president should have taken the time to seek congressional authorization. In matters of war there should be a national discussion among elected officials, and we the people who will have to live with the consequences and the sacrifices of war that could endure for years. #Iran #bluesky
