Absolutely no children are getting gender affirming surgery without their parents consent
You all already know that Trump lies about literally everything. Why can't you understand that he's lying about trans kids?
His goal is to eradicate all trans people, kids or adults
The vast majority of children who get gender affirming surgeries are the thousands of cis girls getting medically unnecessary breast implants, with their parents' consent, each year
Meanwhile, single digits of transmasc teenagers (17 year olds, not 12 year olds) get top surgery, again w/ consent
I feel like a broken record, but this will kill trans kids.
It will kill them when they die by suicide. When their parents kick them out and they meet one of the countless dangers facing unhoused queer youth. When their parents kill them in a rage.
This is eugenics. Genocide. An attack on science, medical ethics, bodily autonomy, and human rights.
Where is the outcry from the biomedical community? Trans people aren't just abstract patients and research participants: We're your friends, family, and co-workers.

I think people think we're exaggerating when we say the widespread use of the term "biological sex" as a term itself isn't organic. This data isn't anomalous, it comports with everything we've seen about the specific use of the term.

In 2022 I started tracking changes in how news outlets were describing trans people, and set up a bot to record every article pushed to the Google News index based on a handful of search phrases, including “biological sex” in both the US and UK. The amount in 2023 alone was absolutely staggering.
There are many terms to refer to a person’s sex: sex, birth sex, natal sex — and more contentiously, assigned sex at birth and biological sex.
