The ol' 'switching off the camo' effect? Yeah, ever since I saw (pics like this \/ ) I've been tempted to try that as well...

My memory of watching Ultraviolet was "okay, these are the bad guys... wait, they're not? Wait, now they are again?" I remember nothing of the plot.
This also reminds me of every 90s movie where bad guy shoots the monitor to stop cyber shenanigans, and I'm like "that's just the screen, dude, you didn't shoot the hard drive or any critical hardware. Just because you can't see the progress doesn't mean you've stopped it."

I gotta be honest, I think Tim and Lex could have crawled through the gaps in the electric fence; only Dr Grant needed to climb.
"We're leaving."
- Captain Miller, the most rational man in horror movie history.
You may not realize, but saying this is basically all it takes to make me wanna watch Jurassic Park tonight....
A photo of a Warhammer40k Imperial guard squad of 10 in yellow BDUs and helmets, balor brown flak armour, with some terrain behind them
The Archomia Ignys Planetary Defense Force, aka the Banana Boys (Alpha squad). Don't get on Sergeant Elfons Hajarma's badside, that thing's a taser.
Un-unununiums your Roentgenium
I don't think this can be topped (in regards to people defined as actors, at least; the only time I've seen worse is when pro athletes host SNL).
I'm a stalwart 'paint as much as possible first, assemble second' type, so in some cases it's barely 20min a day, spread across months. And then there's these last 2 Saturdays where I easily clocked a net 12-14 hours on various projects.
I have been working on it since December, largely because most of that black isn't paint, it's ink.
Fine tip ballpoint pen, which also takes longer to dry, so it was an average of 5-6 cells per sitting.
What's the quickest big-franchise movie marathon a person could burn through?
I'm guessing Friday the 13th movies, I imagine none of them run past 100min, most likely.
Apparently blood was a factor - because nothing in the movie that bleeds is technically human, it didn't get an R rating.
Your job is to pick the worst possible actor to play James Bond. Go!

A change... in visibility?
Have been tempted to tease this digital camo stealth suit for a while, but wanted to show off closer to finished (its like 99% done).
Its easy to anthromorphize other mammals into cuteness (ex: teddy bears) because of similar biology, but most insects seem so alien to us, they'll always be creepy.

Photo of a Warhammer40k necron custom build, wielding two melee weapons and has a Escher-ganger lash whip as a tail (design is a xenomorph homage).
In 20ish yrs, I think the only thing I've ever done 'lore-accurate' was a commissar. My Necrons all got done in a shiny brass colour.
Does anybody in the #nerdlings community have experience ordering from bitzstore.com ? I'm at the point where I just want legs+torsos so I can use up a lot of leftover arms and heads from all the SpaceMarine and guard kits over the years.
YouTube button to add a children's account with a cartoon toast-being as avatar
So I never really looked that closely at this YouTube button, and always thought it was a monkey...
Its a piece of toast.
The guy who runs this account
Started planning parts for a #Warhammer40k guard sarge, before realizing it would suit 3rd platoon better than the Trenchers, and I don't have the body budget to finish 3rd platoon after Trenchers are done. Damn.
So, the 'Task Failed Successfully' meme, 40k-style.
Was the sound like his comical high-pitch scream?

If t'were me, I'd use the general layout of 3, but consider bringing in the gradient (and also slight inlay of the portrait) from 2.
4 feels a little too busy, and 1 doesn't feel quite comic-y, its got that 'criterion collection' vibe to it.
It probably isn't all that difficult (or expensive) to just replace the door of an existing room with a bookcase, but it would definitely look the best if that doorway sat near a corner, for subtlety's sake.
Terrible superhero ideas:
Hero can fly, but can only do so in the 'breast-stroke swimming' position.
While we're on the pun wagon, I gotta table this: kind of thought the Lord of Changing Channels was known as Serf.
When I realized I had that tyrant tail left, the idea was born. I really want to use the wings too, but in a more coherent tyranid creature (I'm wondering if they'd work on a trygon without needing too much modification).
