"and we're going to enforce our laws"
Well, except for wealthy guys who rape kids, apparently.
And after spending all that taxpayer cash on a makeup studio.
That's so cute that lil' Mikey thinks bombing fishing boats and other countries, brutalizing immigrants and US citizens, supporting illegal wars and lying like he breathes makes him a "good guy."
And you know she's not lying because she is armored with the Gold God Cross of Truthiness. /s
also... those two dudes were in his stupid cult.
But good golly gee, they just keep telling us that nuclear is "clean" energy. /s
Console yourself with the knowledge that we've been going round and round on this wheel for thousands of years, literally.

Just to clarify: War is not "liberating" is it wonton destruction. And none of this is legal, so you service members bombing kids, there will be a day when accountability comes for you.
โAll the Presidentโs Menโ was a warning
Nearly 50 years later, the film feels less like a triumphant ode to journalism than a warning about media decay

You can be QUITE sure he'll be profiting off your suffering.
Had to doublecheck the date on this
Nah, not a prophet, just someone familiar with the way human history goes 'round and 'round on a violent, toxic (not so) merry-go-round. We've been down this path a hundred times over thousands of years and we just keep doing the same thing.
Which makes us insane by definition, collectively.
Remembering one of my all time favorite directors today. Stanley Kubrick passed on March 7th, 1999. He was a true auteur. deepdivecinema.club/search_resul...

It makes sense when you realize Trump is trying to destroy not only the US republic, but the entire post-WWII rules based order that has kept us out of a world war for nearly a century. Now that all bets are off, it's a very rough road ahead.
This album always makes me cry a little bit. I love it so much.
Everybody seems to love this flick, but aside from Delroy Lindo's performance, this film annoyed the hell out of me for a variety of reasons, starting with the Southern Gothic Dancing Vampire mashup really seemed beyond silly.
Released 6 Mar 1973, Closing Time was the debut album by Tom Waits. On release the album was mildly successful in the US, although it did not chart & received little attention from the music press. However it subsequently acquired cult status amongst fans & was certified Gold in the UK. #TomWaits
Yes: the daylight robbery that is the looting of our treasury.
But, you know, "unconditional surrender."
For all practical intents and purposes, you're already not anonymous, unless you're masking your IP address.

I've always felt this film was entirely under-appreciated. Sutherland's performance was kinda corny, but Sewell's was spot on. Plus, it was great to see Rocky Horror creator Richard O'Brien in a rare role outside his universe. deepdivecinema.club/movie_detail...
It was only a matter of time...
rofl... yeah, "many many dig dig" had me snorting, too...
YOUR WORTH You know the value of every article of merchandise, but if you donโt know the value of your own soul, itโs all foolishness. Youโve come to know the fortunate and the inauspicious stars, but you donโt know whether you yourself are fortunate or unlucky. This, this is the essence of all sciencesโ that you should know who you will be when the Day of Reckoning arrives. MATHNAWI III, 2652-2654 (translated by Kabir Helminski and Camille Helminski) The human shape is a ghost made of distraction and pain. Sometimes pure light, sometimes cruel, trying wildly to open, this image tightly held within itself. FURUZANFAR #568 (translated by John Moyne and Coleman Barks)
Wanted to share this poem by Rumi, a Persian poet from the 13th century CE. His short yet profound works have shaped Iranian/Islamic culture and influenced poetry around the world to this day. ๐ฎ๐ท
... and today:
The MAGA cult could be lying in the gutter, starving, covered with infected boils, and they'd still be singing the praises of their Glorious Leader. That's why it's a cult.
I don't blame Claude for having anxiety.
