Late update here, but no longer smiling. We lost, 64-62, and the season ends at 31-2. I’m just so heartbroken. Genuinely, truly hurting for these guys. This sucks so much.

It’s game day in Topeka! And it’s time for NCAA tournament play for [1] Washburn, who hosts Minnesota Duluth tonight in the regional quarterfinals.

The center of the basketball world this weekend: Topeka, Kansas 📍
I’m on the call for every game of the NCAA Division 2 central regional, including 4 games today (yes, of course including Washburn tonight).
You can watch every game FOR FREE (starting noon CT) at www.ncaa.com/brackets/bas...
Genuinely tempted to leave home and order it again.
After the 3rd of 4 straight 12+ hour days, I just stopped and got McDonalds and I think it was the best-tasting food I’ve ever had in my whole life.
(For context, the only other thing I’d eaten in the previous 10 hours was some Nutter Butters).
Spotting charts for 8 basketball teams.
It’s an honor that I’ll be on the call this weekend for every game of the NCAA Division 2 Central Region men’s tournament. 4 quarterfinals, 2 semis and the title game, called between home radio and NCAA .com.
The road to the men’s D2 Elite 8 begins Saturday. Can’t wait!
The Panthers replacing Yosh Nijman with Rasheed Walker is so funny.
There's a media company in this state that exclusively covers HS sports, and they do a great job at it. In-depth, wide-ranging, etc.
But it's very funny that when one of their 20-something female reporters is doing an interview, they put them on camera. A male employee? Never for a single second.
The Packers need cornerback help, yes, but L'Jarius Sneed was terrible with the Titans, the Chiefs bailed for a reason even though Spags loved him and there's also this, so I will take a very hard pass: www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...
Honestly, the hungriest I’ve ever been was after I watched Super Size Me, I get it.
The state tournament is the best thing we produce all year at 580 WIBW, no question. Even with a skeleton crew this year, we're doing more coverage and better coverage than you can find anywhere in the state. Excited for another day anchoring our coverage.
Final grade on the Big 12’s glass basketball court:
Survive and advance and all that. Nice to get at least one in KC. Gritty effort tonight.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk.
I'm not even kidding that I want Self to hold Peterson out tonight. Shoot, just forfeit and don't play on the death trap.
If the goal is for the two of them to compete, then congrats to Kyler Murray on being the Vikings' starting quarterback in 2026.
I'm cautiously optimistic that Sorrell could play an even bigger role than LVN. And that's not slighting LVN either who was coming on before the injury. I'm just really high on Sorrell.
Posted the second-best best run-stuff rate of his career this past season, pressure rate was a little down but still above average league wide (all per NextGenStats).
That's good stuff for the Packers.
I’m sure the goal of this wasn’t to come off like a complete weirdo loser
However,
The nicest thing I can say about the other Kansas senator, Moran, is that every once in a while he at least pretends to almost care about the people he represents before getting on his knees and kissing ass.
Marshall is just a scourge.
I saw Mark DeRosa hit a grand slam at Wrigley once and I often wish that was the last time I ever saw him.
Yeah man this feels pretty nasty by the Ravens
Had wings tonight. Unbelievable. I want a dozen more and another dozen after that.
You’re probably right about that.
This is so funny lmao
No thanks
Having covered the Chiefs professionally and watched every game he played in Kansas City,
At best, he'll be the 53rd man on the roster.
Him with Maye will be an incredible duo. Great landing spot for Doubs.
I’ll miss you, king.
Gemstones and The Other Two were great. Loved those. I’ve watch a couple other things with my wife over time. But popular/prestige stuff is wasted on me, generally.
2. If you count sporadic episodes of Office reruns, 3.
If you love a TV show and recommend it to me, I’m probably not going to watch it.
Going from Montgomery to Pacheco at RB2 is a precipitous drop-off for the Lions.
