If we could get them to vote that would be a good first step.

If we could get them to vote that would be a good first step.
Also zero given the make-up of the Senate.
Tell me you don’t understand how the filibuster works without actually saying it.
That fixes it once, by removing one person. An Amendment is needed to fix it for any future dictator.
And you can be less of a jerk.
“If you’re afraid, take some time away from social media, be with friends IRL, get yourself happy, and come back to the fight later.”
I’m mostly the same as you I suspect. SNW is good (at least the first two seasons), Enterprise and Voyager were good. DS9 I’ve seen through again Rey and don’t need to again for a long time, same for much of TNG. Movies 1, 2, 4.
I’ve loved ST since I saw the first episodes on a UHF channel in the 1970s.
I’m a hard no on giving any more money to Paramount and the Ellisons.
It’s easier, yes. But it’s still 67 votes in the Senate, which is a high hurdle.
And Robert Owen, and even Phillip II.
FDR and the Depression-era Ds got it passed nationally.
Thank Joe Lieberman (independent Senator) for no public option.
Everything you mention came from FDR, about as much of a corporate Dem as you could ask for.
Yes, and?
It takes 67 votes in the Senate to remove the President (or VP, or Cabinet officer) from office.
You don’t want to rely on this SCOTUS to interpret amendments in a progressive fashion.
A majority in the Senate is almost meaningless because of the filibuster. You need 60+ to enact any meaningful legislation.
The Senate trial after impeachment in the House needs 67 votes.
If it’s in the Constitution, it requires an amendment. You can’t change the constitution through legislation.
It’s A Wonderful Life
Still requires a constitutional amendment.
Removing the pardon would require a Constitutional Amendment. That requires state legislatures to agree; Congress has no role in that.
He and Goldie Hawn together are worth about $200M. He’s doing whatever roles he wants.
Please tell me you’ve seen “The Trip” and its spinoffs?

Because he was contractually obligated by Remington Steele and missed his best window for being Bond.
And what exactly is wrong with “those kind of people”?
Lots of people in our city keep them up year-round, the ones along the building tops and some trees. It’s very pretty.
At least some have done that. One died fighting Ukraine.
Don’t do that! I thought he was dead!
lol. I stopped giving any money to any party decades ago. Only individual candidates now.
For centuries, the disaffected (mainly religious extremists and racists) have been literally able to move west—first from Europe to the New World (Puritans, Huguenots, Calvinists), then to the western territories after the Civil War.
They have no where else to go now.
You understand how many state legislatures are controlled by MAGA, right?
Okay, you don't understand. The President has no official role in Constitutional Amendments. ERA is held up waiting for a successful bill to remove the expiration date.
Biden stated he considered the ERA to be in force, but that statement has no legal force.
Sure, but do you understand how hard a process that is? And how you need most state legislatures already run by progressives so that it doesn’t wind up tossing the Bill of Rights and replace it with what the Project 2025 people want?
