Edmundo Sosa and Adolis García are like brothers, and they’ve been reunited as Phillies with the ‘same goal’ The duo became fast friends as minor leaguers in the Cardinals organization. Now they’re thankful to be in position to compete for a World Series title — together.

Richard Allen Jr.’s trip to Little Rock was part of his effort to honor his father’s long journey to Cooperstown that comes to fruition Sunday.

The documentary “My Father, Dick Allen” chronicles his quest and is set to release in 2026.

Allen arrived in Arkansas in 1963, just seven years after the Little Rock Nine crisis. He was the first Black player on the Travelers, playing in a civil rights battleground.

Playing in Arkansas scarred Dick Allen. Decades later, his son returned to honor his long journey to the Hall of Fame. The 1963 season in Little Rock was brutal for Allen, and he never wanted to return. Five years after his father's death, Richard Allen Jr. did just that: “I was proud to be who I am."

When Dick Allen was called up to the Phillies from triple-A Arkansas, he vowed to never go back to Little Rock.

But this April, his son decided to return to the place Allen would not.

Rob Thomson plans to put Otto Kemp in the outfield, and it could be as soon as Sunday If Kemp, who mainly plays infield, can prove to be serviceable at left field, it’ll make him more versatile for when Bryce Harper returns and takes over first.

Otto Kemp is going to see some time in LF against left-handed pitchers, according to Rob Thomson. David Peterson is scheduled to start for the Mets tomorrow.
