A young girl, I’d guess about 8 or 9 sits in a studio in quite weighty Edwardian or early 20th century clothes, a velvet dress with a flat white lace collar. She’s in a studio her face is lit from slightly above and to the right. She’s looks deadly serious. A youngster taking the 15th of a second exposure imposed on her very seriously. On the table next to her is some sort of curious thing which is in fact a small dog of some sort, a terrier I think. The table is covered in hide. I absolutely adore this photo.
