Someone should Livestream the announcements on this bracket, in my opinion! Build the hype with some commentary!
YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO
1. This is really cool, great idea
2. Who came up with these reaction choices, my sophomore organic text?

Ive been waiting to discuss this with you for the last week!
Or dryers
There's also no way there's as many NMR consoles of that vintage as there are Corollas either lmao
I had a very uncomfy interaction with someone pushing AI lab management software once and just had to be like, I don't believe this is helpful because I know that our ongoing issue at the time was not documented
I've had this argument with so many people. Absolutely exhausting to have non-technical people think that they can some how fundamentally solve hardware issues
Analytical chemistry has become extremely automated in the last 25 years, and yet shit continues to break in new and befuddling ways that AI canβt possibly parse. The βdatasetsβ for it to learn instrument repairs from exist in the minds of experts and are significantly vibes-based.
Being in an era that relishes negativity, we want to positively celebrate the myriad success of organic chemistry and organic chemists so we are launching #AmplifyOrganic. Share your stories with the hashtag. See link for suggested questions to answer

#chemsky, have you used a Wisconsin Photoreactor? I designed them and will soon defend my PhD. Iβd like to include photos of Wisconsin Photoreactors in use by other chemists in my defense. Please share (reply to this post or DM me) a photo of your photoreactor in action!

Oh that sounds so fun!!
Art Institute of Chicago is stellar.
Are you in Boston before or after grc??
This is such a disaster
What the hell
the world is just better with trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer people in it

I think price of homogeneous reductants becomes the sticking point. Generally I'm really looking for trends between ligand and outcome, with the assumption that conditions would need reoptimization if scaled up (the joy of academic HTE haha)
LOLL too true
Yeah! We do so much XEC with heterogeneous reductants and are always wondering how much shitty stirring is causing issues
I'm working with an undergrad researcher to run a series of stirring effects tests this summer for microscale. Really excited to how the much-praised tumble stirrer really holds up
How is it 6 yrs since I graduated grad school?
I went and listened to Silent Spring because of this and it's such incredible prose. Book I wish I had read years ago for how much it would have changed how I thought about synthesis.
