(3/3) How can it be that in 2025, a local authority appears so ignorant regarding issues faced by the transgender community? Especially when such ignorance is displayed in the context of finding a person 'not vulnerable', and refusing them housing assistance.
Disappointing on so many levels.

(2/3) On her mental illness, the decision:
-States: "you have mental health"
-And also: "you may feel strained mental suffer" (a sentence which made me feel strained mental suffer)
In addition, the decision-maker repeatedly deadnames the client, even after being corrected multiple times.

(1/3) Superb non-priority need decision by Southwark Council, for a #trans woman. Some highlights - the decision:
-Calls client "a trans gender"
-Describes this as "sexuality"
-Does not comment on whether this makes her more vulnerable while #homeless as compared to a cis gendered person

@ealingcouncil.bsky.social has told my colleague they (a) don't offer in-person homelessness interviews because everyone works remotely, and (b) their computers can't open .zip files.
Can someone please check if they are still working over there at all?
