A year ago we were supposed to be getting $2,000 rebate checks, DOGE was going to find $2 trillion in waste to balance the budget, we were going to pay no income taxes because tariffs would pay for everything, gas and home electric bills would be cut in half, and no new wars.

I don't mind optimism, but the reality is that voting history shows 2 things.

1. White people lie in polls.
2. White people collectively vote for conservatism or don't vote at all.

We should not expect that to change until there is material evidence proving it.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

The Monroe County (Bloomington, Indiana) Humane Association building took extensive damage in the tornado last night and the animal clinic was completely destroyed. Luckily, all animals and humans are safe and accounted for.
