@wolfproofpress.com LOVE the concept / organization / interface of the site and, of course, your scholarship..thanks for putting it on my radar
This is relevant to academic writers tooβafter a big successful writing sprint, itβs common to feel a bit flat. Nothing to worry about, itβs just part of a natural cycle. β¨π

Happy birthday to the great revolutionary and theorist, Rosa Luxemburg, born on this day in 1871.
What?! I am absolutely shocked that glasses with a camera would present any concerns, privacy, ethical, or otherwise... If we can't trust corporations who can we trust? What's next? Capitalism is failing? Omg.
If you would like to know what @balloonleap.bsky.social and I think about the relationship between generative AI chatbots and the teaching of writing, we have an article for you to read! 1/

I need people to understand that "AI" used in moderation isn't necessarily the "AI" of ChatGPT + friends or synthetic text extruding machines, or LLMs. There's stuff lumped under "AI", as the term is a marketing term, that is actually useful and important for flagging stuff on social media.
Students deserve better. Doug Fordβs OSAP cuts mean fewer grants, more loans, and higher debt. Students are paying more to get in β and leaving with even more to pay back.

I remember reading Terraformers by @annaleen.bsky.social and thinking yeah wow how might life look different if we could talk with worms and ask them for their perspectives and suggestions. And that's just one book. Please, share other works written by your favourite authors!!
The very idea of what is recognized, broadly speaking, as technologyβor what is notβis so tangled up with Eurocentricism & settler colonialism that it may hard to envision a future w tech that differs from what 'we' 'see' RN but wow thank goodness worlds & tech exists beyond settler colonial views.

Which brings me back to one of my rules, it doesn't matter if you're right when you're an asshole, because someone else is making the same point without being an asshole.

A noir-style illustrated poster titled βThe Case of the Disappearing Copyright.β The Locketteβa cartoon character whose body is an open yellow padlockβcautiously steps out of an open vault marked with a copyright symbol. A strong beam of light shines from outside the frame, casting a large copyright symbol onto the floor. Floating eyes and a magnifying glass with a question mark evoke a detective mystery. Red footprints lead toward the open vault door. Text reads: βPublic Domain Day 2026β and βJan 21st @10am PT: Virtual.β Illustrated by Freya Morgan.
