Voters turned elections from a serious discussion about who could handle the responsibility of office into one where we demanded we be promised treats without any way of removing someone who didn't do the job.

So naturally the guy who lies for a living won.

TUCKER: β€œThe Republican Party as constituted will not continueβ€” it doesn’t represent its voters. It’s a bicycle with square wheels… the ugliest thing to come out of it is trying to stoke religious conflict, attacking people for being a different religion.”

To all my fellow Floridians and all friends from other states:

5 votes made the difference in Boca Raton today.

Your vote does matter, it counts, and can make all the difference in a race.

Please repost so others can see what we can do when we vote.

In this Ohio diner, Iran is what you did when your ex-wife's lawyer tried to serve you papers. But they do know this: At least we're talking about the Strait of Hormuz and not the Gay of Hormuz.

I was just disinvited from the Air War College where I’d been asked to lecture on my book, which is a history of U.S. civil-military relations.

I think this site also needs a come to Jesus moment on the fact that the Biden admin was restraining Netanyahu's government.

I miss President Biden, a decent human and a real leader who worked to help the American people instead of trying to destroy the world out of vengeance.

It is called civics. When you vote, which I'm guessing you thought you cld do as an exercise in "making Democrats an example" instead of "voting to help the vulnerable," when you vote, if you don't elect enough reps for one party, they have less power.

This explains why populists & fascists spread so much fake news:

"The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

Meanwhile at my job (architecture) AI has been explicitly banned for everything except for writing transcripts of meetings.

There are zero insurance companies that will cover liability for architects/engineers who rely on AI for anything that ends up on a signed set of plans.

Five years from now we will possibly lose 13 lives in a final withdrawal from Iran by a Democratic administration.

Then we will have to listen to Republicans call for hearings about the β€œtravesty” of a Democratic president’s end to this war.

The progressive left movement wanted to be right and morally superior more than they wanted to enact progressive policy. That was clear in 2016 and again in 2024. We are experiencing their preferred outcome. The reality is this, they don’t even want power. They just want to criticize it endlessly.

If Joe Biden's son-in-law was flying around the Middle East as an unofficial Secretary of State while also working on business deals for his company with the same people he was meeting with on behalf of the US government, I'm pretty sure it would be a bigger story πŸ€”

Yes, and the situation will only worsen as time goes on as millions more are left with Long COVID and PCCs

Advocates warned about this since COVID mitigations began to be stripped way.

This is happening everywhere, not just Canada.

What’s your experience with healthcare over the last few years?

BuzzFeed Nearing Bankruptcy After Disastrous Turn Toward AI Three years after its pivot to AI, the writing is on the wall for BuzzFeed. The company said there's "substantial doubt" it can keep going.

Self-own of the decade: BuzzFeed pivots toward AI slop, loses everything.

My parents, both lifelong republicans, believe this.

... despite the fact that I've shown them the grocery bills from 2024 & 2026 (I care for them 4 months out of the year) showing a significant increase for the same items AND the fact that we are landlords who have increased our rent by 2%.

Independent Senator Bernie Sanders will be 89 years old during the 2030 Senate reelection he filed for *last year*.

Independent Senator Angus King is older than ME Governor & the actually qualified Senate primary candidate Janet Mills.

GOP Senator Chuck Grassley is 92.

You don’t care about age.

As someone who went on the Internet for the first time in the early 90’s, I fucking loved the Internet. It has given so many things in life, and afforded me so many incredible experiences.

And to see it, and technology in general where they are today is kinda soul crushing.
