A trusted local PDX private shelter has an immediate need for community support. All their heater units have broken but the county doesn't want to invest in fixing them.
They are requesting donations for the purchase of heaters & heated blankets.

Portland voted for a leader with a heart and feelings who speaks the truth. Youβre saying ride and ridiculous shit on the internet that doesnβt even make sense. Go away.
There is a Black woman in our community who was born and raised in PDX and is working with a program that assists people with buying a home. She was told she needed $1000 of her own money to put down but now is told she needs $5000...in 10 days. Please share and donate if you're able $mikesinep or @babysinclair Please use π emoji

A flyer with a bright blue background has a burst of white lines in the top left and bottom right corners. The flyer says We need help. An even hotter heatwave is hitting Portland on Friday with temperatures reaching 100 degrees. It's going to stay hot until next Thursday when it finally drops below 90. The Sweaty Buttcracks are helping raise funds to get homeless neighbors into hotel rooms. Venmo: @SweatyButtcrackPDX Cashapp: $SweatyButtcrackPDX or $Mikesinep. There is also a photo of the 10 day forecast showing that the temperatures will be between 90-100 degrees during the day and 66-70 at night.
Another hot few days are here in PDX. Please help if you are able and either way, please share!!!
A flyer is designed with a corkboard background with a white note pinned to it with a red tack. The message on the note says Funding Update with a black swirly arrow pointing towards it. Continued, WITH YOUR HELP: During last week's heatwave we were able to help 7 adults, 8 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats get hotel rooms for 2-3 nights and supplies for one camp. We raised $2114 and have $82.58 left to put towards the upcoming heatwave. Additionally, we raised $25 towards helping a Black parent keep his phone on.

Please help if you are able. This person does so much for others and could really use some support now.

2: Pink & yellow flyer with pink & blue text that reads: Sweaty Butterack Collective Updates. All of you are amazing for your continued support. You have helped us keep some of our most vulnerable neighbors safe during the unbearable cold. We are often told that people are in tears because they are so grateful and relieved. The county did end up opening warming shelters for one night this week. The next six nights the evening temperature is projected to be between 24Β° and 32Β°. The county will only open shelters if the weather is projected to be below 26Β° for more than four hours when there is no precipitation or snow.

What is wrong with Multnomah County and the Mayor of Portland?
Happening now: Hospital staff and community members are currently protesting outside of the Seattle Childrenβs Hospital demanding the reinstatement of gender affirming surgeries for trans youth.

Itβs still miserably cold to be sleeping outside, especially when sweeps have taken so many warming supplies from people. Please keep sharing and donate if youβre able. This community is amazing. We will be putting out an update soon.
