I use “ending trans healthcare” at NYU Langone, Mt. Sinai and Northwestern hospitals and avoid “ending trans healthcare for youth” bc
✅ healthcare for trans youth is necessary healthcare, full stop
✅ “youth” can include up to 19-26, who are adults
✅ ending “youth” care is a gate to end AL care
Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today. ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.
Anyone who is part of the federal government who is not doing everything in their power to stop this administration, regardless of the assumed cost to normalcy or career, is a coward and a collaborator.

Enjoyed reading this & got me thinking that the “writing” vs “document production” language is super useful & could be applied to the arts as “art” vs “image production”. I don’t agree with the “usefulness of LLMs to offload admin writing” portion relative to the impacts but overall a helpful read.

Just got in my copy of @loriemerson.net ‘s “Other Networks” and I am so excited! This partial view of the contents is already so expansive and interesting. This is definitely going to be a vital part of future research and teaching. Also the book is even more beautiful than I thought it would be.

I remember you introducing me to the first Air Riders! We played that so much during high school. It’s honestly the first title that has me considering the Switch 2.

A good place to start is to gather examples of art in the medium you are learning that you do like. Then, try to find and describe what they have in common that you are into. That can help narrow down places to focus your learning and development.
